My LCP is over 4 seconds on Shopify: how do I fix it?

LCP is when your biggest above-the-fold element finishes rendering, on most stores that's the hero image or headline. The common causes are an unoptimized hero image, that image loading lazily (it shouldn't. The LCP image should load eagerly and be preloaded), render-blocking CSS/JS ahead of it, or a slow-loading web font swapping in late.

Fix order: optimize and correctly size the hero image, preload it, remove lazy-loading from it, defer non-critical scripts, and preload your primary font. That sequence alone usually drops LCP under 2.5s.
